Abstract
What will the future look like? Professor Glowacki’s research will undoubtedly shape the future of industry, health care and energy as he and his research group investigate applications of superconductors.
Superconductivity is a phenomenon of exactly zero electrical resistance and expulsion of magnetic flux fields occurring in certain materials when cooled below a characteristic critical temperature.
They use a multidisciplinary approach to develop advanced superconductors for a range of purposes. Professor Glowacki will be discussing the applications of superconductivity and cryoscience for energy in an ever-demanding world. Perhaps superconductors will fuel our future?
