Abstract
Jonathan Shanklin, who recently retired as Director of the BAA Comet Section, will describe some of the great comets of historical times, show the contribution of amateur observers to comet science and will look forward to any comets that may become easily visible in the near future.
All talks and obsnights are free to members (or cost £2 for non-members) – membership can be bought (£12 life, £7 annual) at any of our events.
