Abstract
Ed Turner will talk about some of the conservation issues associated with oil palm expansion in the tropics as well as the importance of oil palm as a very high-yielding crop. Using findings from his research in Sumatra and Borneo he will discuss ways that oil palm can be managed to benefit biodiversity with no or little cost to yield.
