Abstract
The Intelligent Inclusive Interaction Design (I3D) Lab at CPDM (Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing) of IISc (Indian Institute of Science) undertakes research in the field of human computer interaction, intelligent user interfaces and inclusive design. Our present research is investigating new modalities of interaction and in particular eye gaze controlled interfaces. We are developing new target prediction and multimodal fusion algorithms to improve accuracy and response times of gaze controlled interfaces facilitating human machine interaction for automotive and military aviation environments and working on detecting usersโ cognitive load. We also actively pursue research on Assistive Technology for spastic children and on body posture tracking for developing smart manufacturing system.
This talk in particular will present a couple of new interaction techniques involving a laser pointer and eye gaze controlled projected display, results from user studies on detecting driversโ distraction and our research initiative on smart manufacturing system.
Series This talk is part of the Rainbow Group Seminars series.
