Abstract
Trying to make the world a better place is a common motivation in Cambridge students, and, as a budding doctor, Greg was no exception.
After studying medicine at Cambridge, alongside volunteering for Giving What We Can and 80,000 Hours, Greg Lewis began to research how many lives a doctor could actually expect to save in their career.
Now a full-time doctor, Greg hopes to deliver the good news in global health over the course of our lifetimes. He will be presenting some of his research into the important difference which charitable giving can make, and will explain why he gives about a third of his income to charity, and why heβs confident that this does far more good than his career working as a doctor.
