Abstract
We consider a collection of N solid particles immersed in a Brinkman liquid and subject to an external flow and/or a uniform gravity field. It is shown how to reduce the determination of the unknown rigid-motion of the particles by solely calculating a few and carefully selected quantities on the surface of the entire cluster. Those key quantities are governed by boundary-integral equations which are established and numerically solved by implementing a boundary element method. Numerical results will be discussed for a few 2-particle clusters in order to quantify the magnitude of particle-particle interactions in a suspension.
