Abstract
I’ll discuss how we can use the spectrum of QCD in a box to infer the energy dependence of hadron scattering amplitudes, and from these determine resonances. Lattice QCD can be used to compute the required discrete spectrum in a systematic manner. I’ll present some recent applications of the idea with particular focus on the light scalar mesons, a0 and f0.
