Abstract
A review of āA Philosophical Essay on Probabilitiesā by Pierre Simon, Marquis de Laplace In this influential book, the legendary French mathematician Laplace presents many elegantly-composed thoughts on probability and inference, including his original formulation of Bayesā theorem (which in truth is named after Bayes in an example of Stiglerās Law of Eponymy). I have read this book so you donāt have to, although itās actually very good.
