Abstract
The LHCb experiment has shown very successful running periods in Runs 1 and 2 of the LHC , and has established itself as a leading flavour physics experiment. The collaboration is currently preparing an upgrade of the experiment for Runs 3 and 4, which is planned to start data taking in 2020. This upgrade will exploit higher luminosity running with an enhanced trigger system. An expression of interest for a second stage upgrade for Run 5, data taking from 2030 onwards, has been published.
This seminar will give an overview of the planned detector upgrades, discuss selected highlights of current physics measurements and will discuss the future physics program to be exploited in the planned upgrades.
