Abstract
I will discuss recent progress in the study of higher dimensional black holes. The new results include the construction of neutral, thin black ring solutions in arbitrary spacetime dimension D>4 and the emergence of a phase diagram that comprises of Myers-Perry black holes, black rings, black Saturns and pinched black holes of spherical topology, which are connected via an intricate pattern of merger transitions.
