If you have a question about this talk, please contact Chris Richardson .

Software development is more than just programming. We need to think a bit more widely about the lifetime of our code, how we plan a project, and the way we interact with other people.

  • Can we make it easier for others to join a project?
  • Is the code maintainable for years to come?
  • How can we distribute it?

Many of these points are highly relevant to commercial software, but have often been ignored by academics. In this interactive and informal seminar, I intend to address some of these issues.

As this is a lunchtime talk, please bring your sandwiches with you. Tea and biscuits may be provided (subject to availability).
