Abstract
In the first half of the seminar, I will be giving a talk which I presented at the ACII ’07 Conference in September. The paper discussed the extraction of affect-communicating features from every-day body motions ad particularly focused on allowing for personal movement idiosyncrasies. Time-permitting I will also give an overview over the work I did while visiting the Personal Robots Group at the MIT Media Lab over the Summer. During my 1-month visit I helped to build two complementing systems for controlling a robot or avatar using the Nintendo Wii-mote and an infrared-based motion tracking system.
