I have dedicated most of my working life to the study of Glioblastoma, an aggressive primary brain tumour that is responsible for more loss of life for each sufferer than any other common adult cancer. Where conventional treatments have often let my patients down, I have been looking to mathematics to enhance my understanding of this elusive tumour and to try and build better treatment solutions. From retinal neural networks to diffusion tensor imaging and back to computational neural networks, I describe my research in this area.
