Abstract
Why have stress levels risen in children? A recent study has revealed that primary school-aged children in Britain worry daily about global warming, terrorism and passing their exams. Adults questioned for the study believe that this anxiety is caused by the influence of the media on children and pressures of consumerism. Others feel that breakdown in family life and community are the main causes.
