Interdisciplinary one day meeting on Diseases of Poverty

Keeping the spotlight on Parasitic and Neglected Diseases Parasitic and neglected diseases are major causes of poor-health among rural populations worldwide. There is a pressing need to control these diseases through new partnerships and enhanced collaboration.

This meeting aims to bring together multiple disciplines across Cambridge, including (but not limited to): policy, surveillance communication, evolution, pathology, basic biology, economics, and ethics.

Join us and meet others in Cambridge who are interested in diseases of poverty and discuss approaches to reduce the burden of disease. Confimed Speakers include: Alan Fenwick, Kamran Rafiq, Dora Pereira, Julian Rayner, Ian Goodfellow, Goylette Chami, Richard Hayward, Alex Martin-Menendez, Yaw Aniweh, Rebecca Oettle, Delphine Autheman, Konstantin Barylyuk, Stephen Tukwasibwe, Ian Goodfellow, with ongoing projects in: Colombia, The Gambia, Kenya and Tanzania, Uganda, Sierra Leone and Ghana.
