- π Venue: Pfizer Lecture Theatre, Department of Chemistry
Abstract
C-H functionalization reactions are emerging as important tools in organic chemistry. Natureβs toolkit for complex molecule assembly contains a variety of enzymes that are capable of catalysing diverse C-H functionalization reactions. In this lecture I will discuss recent advances in the discovery, mechanistic illumination and exploitation of several unusual C-H functionalization biocatalysts involved in bioactive natural product biosynthesis.
