Abstract
Marian Bakermans-Kranenburg is Professor of Neurobiological and Environmental Determinants of Parenting and Child Development at Leiden University.
Her research focus is attachment and emotion regulation in parents and their children, with special emphasis on neurobiological processes in parenting and development. Her academic interests include the interplay between nature and nurture, exploring and testing the ‘differential susceptibility’ model, hormonal correlates of parenting, and interventions. The studies she is involved in are embedded in the research programme PEARL (Program for Emotion and Attachment Research Leiden) of the Centre for Child and Family Studies.
Chaired by Dr Robbie Duschinsky, Head of the Applied Social Science Group within the Primary Care Unit and Director of Studies in Sociology at Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge.
