Using standard high-energy effective field theory techniques, we study fractional quantum Hall states. Starting with the Dirac composite fermion model, which is manifestly particle-hole symmetric, we calculate various physical quantities. In a “large N” limit we derive various transport functions and demonstrate that they obey the expected relations of particle-hole symmetry, while earlier composite fermion descriptions did not.
