Abstract
In recent years, an explosion of interest in machine learning and artificial intelligence has led to significant breakthroughs in countless industries. In this talk, we present some recent innovations that have helped to solve long-standing problems in the music industry, including personalised recommendation, the discovery of new music, and the classification of music using its audio content alone.
Speaker Bio: Martin is Senior Product Manager at Spotify UK. He joined Spotify via the acquisition of his music-technology startup, Sonalytic. Before Sonalytic, Martin was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at Imperial. He studied Part III of the Mathematical Tripos at the University of Cambridge, and earned his PhD in Mathematics at the University of Oxford.
