Abstract
Black holes are important objects in any theory of gravity for the insight they provide into the quantum gravity realm. However, as the complexity of the theories in which they appear increases, it is harder to find exact analytical solutions. Therefore, it is interesting to find solution generating algorithms โ procedures which transform a seed configuration to another configuration with a greater complexity. The JanisโNewman (JN) algorithm is one of these (off-shell) solution generating techniques, which โ in its original formulation โ generates rotating metrics from static ones.
