Abstract
I will report on recent developments of the Monte Carlo event generator Herwig7. A special emphasis will be put on non-perturbative parts of the simulation which have allowed to vastly improve the simulation of Minimum bias collisions at the LHC . Particularly the development of models for colour reconnection will also have implications for observables that are dominated by the perturbative description of events. Nonetheless I will also give brief reports on other parts of the simulation.
