A Dusty Origin for the Correlation Between Protoplanetary Disc Accretion Rates and Dust Masses

Abstract
I will talk about how trends observed in demographic studies of protoplanetary discs enable us to test our models of the various processes that deplete and disperse the disc material. In particular I will show how applying dust evolution models to recent data on accretion rates and masses in the Lupus and Upper Scorpius star forming regions helps resolve tensions in the data and places valuable constraints on both turbulence and photoevaporation.
