Abstract
Everyone is welcome to this Guest Academic Speaker seminar by Dr. Dana Hanesova. Dana holds a Senior Lecturer position at the University of Matej Bel, Banska Bystrica, Slovakia while she is currently a visiting scholar in Cambridge.
Seminar Abstract: This seminar will give an interim report on a project to investigate the historically sensitive phenomenon of moral and religious education in former communist countries. It will outline the current models of moral and religious education in post-communist EU countries in comparison with those in other EU countries and survey the main factors influencing the present situation as well as current educational goals and teaching methods. The work on this seminar was supported by the Slovak Research and Development Agency under the contract No. APVV -0372 -06 as well as by Tyndale House, Cambridge, UK.
