Abstract
Related to a question of Brauer on bounds on the entries of the Cartan matrix of block of a finite group, Donovan’s conjecture suggests that there should only be finitely many Morita equivalence classes of blocks with a given defect group. There has been some progress on this conjecture, and where it is known to be true we might try to list such classes. I will review progress on Donovan’s conjecture and the description of Morita equivalence classes of blocks with a given defect.
