Abstract
Getting a product from a production-ready prototype to a saleable product and into the hands of the customer is a complex, time-consuming, and resource-intensive process. Unfortunately, teams almost always underestimate the pain, work, time, and resources involved and, as a result, are understaffed, miss deadlines, and start selling product with quality issues and higher costs than desired. There are only two certainties in product realization: there is more work than teams plan for, and nothing will be done right the first time. This talk will review best practice tools and methods used across industries and company sizes.
Series This talk is part of the Engineering Design Centre Seminars series.
