THREE TALES by Steve Reich and Beryl Korot Thu, February 18, 23:00 – Fri, February 19, 00:05 ADC Theatre, Park Street, Cambridge – map Description
Three Tales is a unique experience. An enthralling fusion of music, cinema and documentary, this digital video opera recalls three events from the twentieth century: the crash of the Hindenburg Zeppelin, the nuclear bomb testings at Bikini Atoll, and the cloning of Dolly the Sheep. Three Tales tells the story of technology’s growing dominance in the twentieth century, and its evolving relationship with man. Three Tales combines five of Cambridge’s finest vocalists and the contemporary music group Ensemble BPM , playing live to a film which features archive footage, audiovisual documentary and interviews with leading scientists including Marvin Minsky and Richard Dawkins.
