Abstract
In the first of a Wintercomfort series of lectures, Rob Needle, Chief Superintendent, talks about his experiences of policing in Cambridge from 1981 to 2011.
A graduate of Bristol and Cambridge, Rob Needle joined Cambridgeshire Police in 1981, rising through the ranks to become Chief Superintendent in 2002. In 2003 he took over the station where he had walked in as a young police constable 28 years earlier. He became one of the longest serving divisional commanders in Cambridgeshire.
