Abstract
A long standing approximation in parton showers is to assume that nature has an infinite number of colours rather than three.
So far this approximation seems to have done reasonably well. However, as the number of coloured partons – as well as the demands for accuracy – increase, there are reasons to go beyond this limit.
In this talk I will report on progress towards exact Nc=3 treatment of colour space. I will also shed some light on the remaining challenges.
Series This talk is part of the Cavendish HEP Seminars series.
