Abstract
The architecture of a multiplexed charge-locking device [1] could enable the control of a large number of gates with reduced number of electrical contacts, representing itself as a useful tool for up-scaling of a quantum dot system. Nevertheless, two problems were found from previous operation experience of such devices, which hinder their further applications in forming larger arrays of quantum dots. The first problem is a drift in voltage from a floating (charged) gate, which has been discussed in the above reference. The second problem is the leakage of charge (from the first addressed gate) when, for example, two next to nearest gates are addressed successively, partly due to the nature of the multiplexer. In this presentation, I will show various operations of the multiplexed charge-locking device towards resolving the above two problems.
